The funding announced in Budget 2018 enables Oranga Tamariki to continue to put in place and stabilise new services, systems and processes that are part of a fundamental change to how New Zealand cares for children.

In addition to the Budget, the Families Package (announced in December) will help to reduce child poverty and ensure children have a better start in life.
